When Blackrobes first brought the Roman Rite to the New World interior, cardstock didn't wear very well in the wilderness.
Instead, the North American Martyrs would have used bookmarks like these: supple, 3–4oz leathers, tough enough to endure but thin enough to avoid damaging book bindings while enclosed between pages. This pack of three includes one of each of the three designs shown.
